We are inviting volunteers, with their hearts and hands, to commit fully to this project. These volunteer positions will be filled on a first-come first-serve basis. We ask for a minimum commitment of 4 weeks. We invite volunteers to be open to manual labor and activities which are part of building an Earthship. The Lagu Damai Foundation’s Earthship-inspired build has been intentionally named “Awan Damai”, which means “Peace of Clouds” in Bahasa Indonesia. Awan Damai is intended to create a pristine environment for like-minded people to gather. Join us in Bali!

See more on www.jiwadamai.net or register directly on our website section dedicated to the Earthship Inspired buid.  http://www.jiwadamai.net/earthship-inspired-building-workshop

Is this a charity of some sort or is it something being built on land owned by you?

My understanding of earthships, is that they work really well in places that have large swings between day and night temperatures as found in deserts. What is the rationale in using this style of building where you are? Will old tires or other polluting products be used in your build?
