Compost using create brush

I living in golden valley,AZ, we have a lot of creosote brush, can I use it for compost or is it bad for other trees and vegetables? . What about using pine needles or I can go into kingman and get grass cutting. Kingman has a golf course so I could get a ton of grass cutting.
