I just dug up a perennial potato (from oikios tree crops) The tops were not completely dead, though looking rather sad, but I needed the space for something else.
Should I replant right away in a new area? Or would they sprout now and waste energy going into the winter? Should I instead let them dry out a bit and then replant?
