Join School of the Lost Arts for a unique offering by EagleSong, CCH, Founder of RavenCroft, and former Kitchen Garden Goddess for The Herbfarm Restaurant. The two part class series, Riding the Sun: A Celebratory Solstice Herb Walk, is offered Sunday, June 19, and Embrace Harvest--Nourish Earth, is offered Sunday, August 7. Come explore your wild and cultivated self!
Riding the Sun: A Celebratory Solstice Herb Walk is an interactive walk-talk-taste about the farm identifying cultivated and indigenous wild edibles that link us to a world of abundance and optimum nutrition. Explore the connections on how plants serve the ecology of their place and how we serve them by mindful participation in our harvest and use. Rather than reducing plants to what they are "good" for, this walk will broaden your view of the fascinating and multi-layered world of which we are part. Students will leave with a wealth of knowledge and resources and deeper connection to place.
Location: Dog Mountain Farm, Carnation, WA
Time: Sunday, June 19th, 1 pm - 4 pm
Cost: $45 / $90 for 2-class series
