Hi all, I'm new to the site and am excited to learn and share all sorts of information with you all!
here's what i'm thinking for my root cellar:
first i won't use concrete blocks or poured concrete second i want to minimize the use of any concrete
i have plenty of stone in and on the ground to use but have also thought about using earthbags. i'd like to put a roof on it that would create a small studio space on top....
i'm just looking for some advice and thoughts all are appreciated!
If you have some good stone to use, then build with it, either dry lay or a lime mortar mix will give you some solid walls that should last a 100+ YEARS, if off course, you have to have a proper footings and drainage.
