I'd like your opinion of the best book on the subject of green (vegetated) roofs

I've read "The Art of Natural Building" and they have a fairly good section on green roofs with plenty of pictures but I'm always curious as to other builders approaches to the implementation.

I'm planning to build a 3:12 simple shed roof for a 10x12 structure

There's a huge list of books on green roof. Few of the good ones are listed below:

- Green Roofs by Earth Pledge

- Green Roof Construction and Maintenance  by Kelly Luckett

- Planting Green Roofs and Living Walls by Nigel Dunnett

If you definitely want to do it yourself there are a few others resources to try. The books listed earlier will help you learn about construction (and don’t forget Green Roof Plants by Edmund Snodgrass), but, as I recall, they do not have much about making a growing media for the plants. As you know, this is crucial. I would suggest checking out an e-book by Living Roofs (Livingroofs.org) for guidance and spending a significant time researching media on google for a good mix.
