Since our flock of turkeys have gotten big enough to turn out for free ranging, I have noticed an almost complete lack of dandelion in our yard. They strip the leaves of every plant they find. No leaves, no photosynthesis, no dandelions. Of course, we don't treat the lawn with chemicals so their appetite doesn't concern me at all.

So do our chickens.  Almost like candy for them.

My chickens always seem to graze around the dandys, but the turkeys go right for them.

Go figure?  At least there is weed control and healthy foraging going on in both instances.
