Learn how to tackle pest and disease problems in the garden organically.
 Saturday, Aug. 20; 2-4 p.m.
 Community Harvest Garden at White Center Cultural Community Center; 9421 18th Ave. SW., Seattle, WA 98106
Now that your garden is growing, all you have to do is sit back and watch, right? But hey, who’s eating holes in your broccoli and what are those spots doing on the tomato plant? In this outdoor class, you’ll meet face-to-face with the most common garden pests and diseases and learn to control them organically through smart gardening techniques. We’ll learn about attracting beneficial organisms to the garden and how to prevent unhealthy conditions where diseases thrive. You’ll leave with the confidence and resources needed to tackle almost any future garden problem. This class will be outdoors with hands-on activities. Please dress for the weather and messy garden soil. This class is offered in partnership with Community Harvest of SW Seattle.
COST: $36 or $25 for Seattle Tilth members.  Advance registration and payment are required.

There will be plenty of time to discuss your objections when and if you return. The cargo is this tiny ad:
