thanks for the feedback, around her area there arent many trees except her weeping willows, and the pine farm, so the hope that anything that is high in carbon will work will help her out alot so what yall's feedback helps alot i wish good blessings on your families.

If someone had no available access to trees could, straw be subsituted for the trees since straw is readily available?
This question was asked of when I told a family member about hugelkultur, who unlike me only has access to straw and some branches off of a pine tree farm near her. Like she said the straw absorbs water when it rains and is fiberous.
So could straw be subsituted even if it doesn't last as long as the trees whhen buried?

hey yall im a new guy here not to mention young I'm about to follow in my father's footsteps and go over the road until i get enough money to go to college or establish myself in a other way, and i found some land for sale its 35.5 acres for about $130,000. and ive been thinking of working on getting this property when im able its been on the market for a long time now and was wondering if this is a good price for land in South Carolina, its farmland and some land that has been logged with a good amount of trees left on the property. Was going to at least farm some of the land for personal and family benefit. Let me know what yall think.
