I love my beds, I made them fairly small but will keep adding more beds in my yard...

Its - 10 right now, here in Hungry Horse, Montana. I have 3 Hugelkulter Beds, used for the first time last spring,,My growth was amazing. I made a new one this fall, so its marinating in the cold...I will turn most of my garden beds into Hugels.....I live close to Glacier National Park, and we are colder up here, do seem to get a lot of rain,,,not a lot of sun.....Hugelkulter is the way to go...

I have just make my 1 hugelkultur bed. Started it last year, finished this spring and planted, I am loveing it so far,
Love having the bed higher, as I am short, but I want more around the yard. Growing more food is what its all about
I live in Hungry Horse, and on the Middlefork River. Now to figure out how to get the water up to my land. Its about
100 feet down the hill. To live off the grid is a goal one day

Loved the title The Russians are comming, living here in the flathead valley in montana,,,we have many russians, and thru work, and friends, have met a few....they are by far some of the best gardners, growing almost all they need, from meat, bees, fruit and veggies....and having so many kids in each family,,,,they are united, to become one..and they know their gardens

I have only small piece of land, but am building my first Hugelkultur bed. If I wanted to post a picture, where can I do that, cant find the place for that. Was born in Missoula, but have lived in flathead valley most of life,and love to garden...love you site
