Thanks for the tips Simon, I'm actually just down the road from River Cottage.

As an aside when I moved down to West Dorset I registered on Landshare for a plot to grow veg on and had one or two offers for land which was too far away, then I put up a couple of notices on inboards in town and had no fewer than 9 responses and picked the best plot for my veg growing project

Still looking for somewhere to live if anyone has any more ideas or knows anyone with a run down smallholding they want looking after

I just found your forum and had to join, I've been reading Permaculture magazine since the start and despite not being able to live the dream right now I pine for a land based, forest garden/Sepp Holzer type project.

Loving the Hugelkultur video which was how I found Permies.com

I live in Bridport, Dorset (UK) in a rented flat with my teenage son and I'm really keen to be more land based.

If anyone knows of any property/land/unusual habitable space that might be suitable please let me know.
