Ack! To turn more clay into soil, to finish my Hugel bed, to turn more lawn into garden, to grow more vegetables with my flowers, sooo many projects!

Well…… I can only say I tried it in North Dakota and it worked very well! I never found out the name of the plant. It had a very strong almost citrus smell and I was very glad that it didn’t spread everywhere. I use mint, lemon balm and oregano now that I’m back in Alabama, but only because I haven’t found a wild thing to put in there! Good luck 😊

I’ve recently moved and had to make a new Hugel. It’s not quite finished because I haven’t added the dirt. In the meantime I Hugel everything! I use quite a few earthbags because our new place is very difficult clay, and I always start with a layer of sticks! This works really well.

I keep Vaseline and cotton balls in my camping gear, and some paper matches from the army. Never fails

I have a lot of silt in my dirt. I have built a cob heater, which is left exposed to the weather, but I want to build a small house. What do you think? Would it hold up?
