Your land is lovely! I'm in Portugal at the moment on my little plot of land.
It's been hard because I've been isolated for so long, even before Covid and way before moving to Portugal - I'm thinking of moving to Taiwan. Also, I'm so unskilled in homesteading, if I don't get help soon, I'm probably going back to regular city life.
Good luck with everything.

Try the report button on the post and one of the moderators can turn the edit button on temporarily.
.
The big problem is that some people have abused the edit button in the past so we tend to be hesitant to turn it on without good reason.

I'd wait to see confirmation from someone who tinkers with the site background mumbo jumbo.

I hope this helps!

I'm currently in the Dordogne but as beautiful as it is, it is too hot in the summer and I haven't met my tribe yet. It's not so alternative here. Several people have mentioned the Ariege to me for off grid living and like minded communities... Did you check it out? Also Hugo from Morvan, I have been intrigued by Burgundy and the Morvan national park. I miss green, forests and rivers... Where I am is quite dry and rocky! So am missing lush countryside. Anytips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance 😊
Gabrielle Hoa wrote:Dear Max, your posting resonates strongly with me, although I am much older (46) and i am done with kids (I have a teenage daughter). But I am a French native and spent my summers in nearby Cévennes where my family is from; almost bought an abandoned farm there last summer, but decided against as my life is in the US for now until my daughter is grown. But wanted to drop a few words of encouragement and good luck! You have a beautiful land and spirits. Be well!
