I've heard of the benefits of comfrey on the compost pile. I'd love to read about ancestral people's experiences with it.

We will be moving to our new 150 year old farm house in about a month. The septic is over 30 years old and basically shot. What are earth friendly options for replacing it (other than composting toilet)?

Is it best to come into a course like this with experience and knowledge of your land? We just bought a farm (closing march 21) and am weighing taking such a course now versus taking it after I've had a couple of seasons to get acquainted with the land. Any advice would be helpful, thank you!

We are on the road to homesteading and are considering having some of these pigs as well. I'll be eagerly coming in here to read along.
