Since I too have concern with what an individual could re burnable refuse I was encouraged to read this thread. I'd read of a community stove in Africa (Kenya?) that combined cast iron stove technology with gasification of dried trash mixed with used oil! I'd imagine in Jakarta the RMH for hot water as while as cooking. As far as (waste) plastics to oil check out the Energetic Forum's Renewable Energy "How to turn plastic waste into diesel fuel cheaply" thread. Warning: it's over 80 pages long with many technical debates. They advise taking several reads before asking questions!

And you did a thorough job of answering questions once contacted-thanks. Hope your website builder has been properly harangued as it was most frustrating to not be able to tell a company that you can't tell them...

If you share your approximate location,

Delaware is such a small state-it is my ~location. You might be the closest active RMH enthusiast-most one this forum don't divulge much personal!

The price differential between the complete unit that Zaug offers and the Dragon Heater barrelless box unit or the two of those versus the Drago Heater cores is significant. However the Dragon Heater website has no contact info so I can't ask such basic questions as which (used?) barrels work best, which to avoid, is the barrel welded to the box and when will a photo of the box be on the site. Probably directions would come with the the core or box however I'm not ready to commit my funds without feedback. Answers to either the technical or the contact issue eagerly awaited!

I'm interested in the 6" Heater and would like to know more about the box option. As I didn't see a contact on the Dragon Fire site I turn to you-how is box worth the extra $$. Isn't it a customizedi steel thermal painted box?

Here the point is to add to the wood perhaps bits of carton and even shoes. Since the intake/airflow is designed around sticks and inks, dyes alone may yield oxides other than CO2 there are definite challenges not absolute limitations!

I am considering buying a RMH as I have neither the equipment or skill to build one myself. Thus far I have only found one manufacturer (Zaug Stoves in WA) If anyone knows of others or has comments re Zaug and/or urban use of RMH I'd appreciate a quick post. Furthermore I am interested trash as fuel and what filters might be incorporated for that exhaust.

It's great to have found this forum!
