Thanks so much all for the tips. So right about the Amish! My neighbors on both sides are Amish. Ended up finding some in a Westplains feed store, quite a drive, but everything is from here.

Hi my fellow permie friends and neighbors! I'm looking to get some goat fence & I'm in south central (Houston/Mt. View area). Been trying to find a good source on goat/sheep fence (4x4. not electric). Any leads or suggestions would be much appreciated. I'm looking at least 9 rolls of 330ft.

Hey Tom, thanks for the input. I was aware of the Madrid fault prior to my land purchase a few years ago. I don't think there is any place you can 100 % avoid a natural catastrophe. I don't know what the actual odds are, but I'm more worried about getting a storm shelter put in there for a tornado. Then there's always the critters:venomous snakes & spiders.

Hope the search is going well. If nothing is turning up let me know. I do have a property in that area that I'm starting to consider for rent/lease. I was hoping to spend much more time there, but it hasn't worked out as planned.

Sounds like a very worthy venture! If you're in need of another interested party I am. On the fence about what option would work better for me, but 5-10K sounds like a great way to have a piece of Montana, like minded neighbors & part of an amazing project.

Hey CJ....yeah, I guess I didn't know which state to put since I have a foot in both AK and MO:) I've actually had to have items sent to my Missouri address so I could physically take them back to Alaska.

Hey CJ, I do order from Amazon & still run into shipping issues. Many places will not ship to Alaska or Hawaii.

I've recently purchased a Greenworks 40v. It works great for what i'm dealing with, smaller trees & clearing slash. Really wanted an Oregon, but they wouldn't ship to Alaska (I liked the auto sharp feature).

Hey Thomas, sounds like a great plan. Good luck with finding the one in a billion, but hope you find joy and happiness in your time spent single. What a beautiful part of the U.S. Hope the winter went well.

I too have plans on working up a permaculture style orchard. The property I purchased already has an established peach & apple orchard, so I'm in the process of planing the next orchard area & general soil building with mixed cover crops.

It was interesting looking through the wedding photos:) thanks for sharing and beautiful work. I'm not a gambling person....but a few of them, well, the body language just don't look promising, of course some of them really look connected.

Darn...eastern standard time. I'll pretty much miss most of it. Maybe they'll archive it....
