Thanks Angela! Yes, more perennial use and mulching. We do have some fruit shrubs and trees around, but not within the plots. What a great idea to plant these along the edges to share. Are there any chemical restrictions where you are? Any one else have experience with changing community gardens with more permaculture?

Any advice, books, activities for teaching elementary students about Solar Energy? We will have a week long camp on this topic and looking for ways of introduction, activities, art projects, and any other suggestions. Thanks in advance!

I am looking to help my community garden begin to take steps towards making their 25' x 25' plots more "Permaculture-esque". Any advice on what tips I can give them in a 10 minute talk, for starters. There are many folks that use chemicals and constantly tilling the soil. Anyone know of some permaculture community gardens and their rules for their members? Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
