I'm down in San Diego...which you might consider "near". I worked with Tyler (619-342-5165, Backyard Fruit) to get a Glenn mango tree late last year from Florida's Pine Island Nursery. http://www.tropicalfruitnursery.com/mango/index.shtml Kent as well as many other choices are available.

Ms. Glenn is currently fruiting and doing quite well! I shopped around quite a bit including Exotica and other nurseries down this way.

Yes, Dale and I are opening our homestead for folks attending PV2! We are located about 3 miles from the conference site and it should be an awesome good time!

Dale and I are opening our homestead to people who are attending Permaculture Voices. 107 Garden is located about 3 miles from the conference and is close to the airport, beaches, and local shops (92107)

Lodging: One bedroom suitable for 1 or 2 adults and backyard available to pitch a tent. Living room with privacy curtain can also be made available. Prices? We want to support folks being able to attend so we can work with you to a certain degree.

Food: Breakfast included...see link above and there will be plenty of other eats and treats.

Other bonuses: humanure toilet available (accepting all deposits), composting onsite, grill and outdoor sinks, firepit (okay, it's just an old washing machine drum but it works), washer and dryer (don't worry the water goes to the landscape and there is a clothes line too), kombucha is always in the works, fresh-organic eggs created on site, goat milk can be found unless I turned into cheese, there is a tv and wifi too. I think you get the idea...

Location: We live ~3 miles from the conference site! Near the intersection of Catalina Blvd. and Voltaire St., 92107

Lodging: One bedroom suitable for 1 or 2 adults and backyard available to pitch a tent. Living room with privacy curtain can also be made available.

Transportation: Bus route 923 three blocks away! Designated bike route also three blocks away! Car2go cars nearly always close by! Depending on your height there might even be a bike available to borrow. Hell, you could walk...nice sidewalks the entire way!

Food: We are an Azure Standard drop point and there will be a delivery the day before the conference starts! Place an order ahead of your visit! Perfect timing! People's Organic Coop is a 15 minute walk away and Peace Pies (raw vegan restaurant) is along the way. All the power tools needed for cooking good clean food are available to use (and clean up!). Don't cook? Don't worry I will be planning meals, snacks, and all that jazz to keep me fueled so we can work something out!
