Why is it that typically cold season vegetables (e.g. brocolli) can be planted during the heat of summer, without problems (i know they mature during the fall, but why arent they affected by that early heat when my earlier planted brocolli is?)
I was wondering why crops like e.g. courgettes (a.k.a zuchinnis) lose vigor over time and produce less fruit. Is it a growth habit of the plant or does it typically happen due to nutritional deficiencies?
If I let my chickens go through the molt, and they complete it before winters end. Can they be stimulated to begin producing eggs again with lighting / artificially?
