Hello to all!  I have a new hugelculture...actually quite lengthy.  Dug down about to add 2 feet of old logs then mounded about 3 feet of dirt on top.  The problem is it is all sandy soil.  Planted clover and winter peas on it for green mulch and add coffee grounds from a local shop.  I think I might need to plant a summer cover crop for mulch and soil improvement but would also like to try some other plants.  May add a tree or two.  Any thoughts on how to help my sandy soil become fertile soil the most effective way? What summer
cover crops to use in Zone 8.  Thanks to all!

Just figured out that you are correct....I have another email account associated with permies.com under which I purchased the plans for the solar dehydrator.  Do I just keep the 2 different accounts (I have kickstarter on this account and the solar dehydrator on the other account.   Thanks!
I had previously purchased the 2 sets of plans for the solar dehydrators.  The link was in "my stuff" before the kickstarter items were added.  Now I see the 3 kickstarters but the solar dehydrator link has disappeared.   May I have it back, please.
It was not until I retired and started gardening that I began to learn about permaculture.  What exciting opportunities for change in how I care for our new project of homesteading.  My learning curve is straight up.  As a 66 year old, I wish I had discovered permaculture  and homesteading sooner.  Looking for ways to make changes will be my priority, however, I need to figure out what steps to take first. Fun times ahead.
