Andrew, your Eco-Village seems like it's just what my family and I are looking for.  I'd definitely be interested in more details and to see if there's anything we could do to contribute.

Currently, my wife and I have been researching and visiting different intentional communities with our soon-to-be two year old daughter.  We live in New York now, but fell disconnected from the unsustainable, money-chasing, consumer lifestyle so prevalent here.  We feel like there's a better way to live, more in touch with nature and in harmony with our planet, and we want to introduce this life to our daughter before she gets too old.  We've visited some nice communities so far and have met some inspiring people doing amazing things for this world but don't feel like we've found the right fit just yet.  But your community, utilizing permaculture practices while being family friendly with a children's school sounds exactly like the vision in our mind of what we're looking for.

We don't have much experience managing a 1 hectare plot, but we are growing some fruit, vegetables, and herbs now on our 1/4 acre suburban lot trying to incorporate some permaculture principles while learning as much as we can.  I'm currently working as a mechanical engineer and my wife, in addition to raising our daughter, teaches yoga and started her own holistic herbal medicine business, so we hopefully have some other valuable skills that we can bring to the community.

So please let me know if there are any other details you can share or if there's anything else you'd like to know about us and we'll see if it's a good fit.

Anyone on this forum from Long Island?  I know it's not a hotbed of Permaculture, but was hoping to connect with some local people maybe discuss some suburban homesteading techniques and projects that work in our neck of the woods.

Thank you Joylynn, this looks like a great program.  I'll keep it on my radar for 2018 and maybe check out some of the streams.  Were you able to attend or are you doing the live streaming?
Luckily just found this site and loving all the info and helpful contributors.  I learned about Permaculture about a year ago and feel that it's changed my entire worldview.  I've tried to learn as much as I could on my own by reading books, online tutorials and free courses, and scouring this forum for valuable info but feel like I'm ready to take my learning to the next level.

I'm thinking about either enrolling in a PDC or searching for an internship, and I was hoping to get some recommendations from those who've had experience with either.  There seem to be so many to choose from and it's difficult to determine which ones would be worth the time and monetary investment.  I'm currently living in New York but would be willing to travel for a worthwhile program, so any suggestions will be appreciated.  Does anyone have any experiences with specific programs that they'd like to share or recommend that may be able to make my search easier?
