Luckily just found this site and loving all the info and helpful contributors.  I learned about Permaculture about a year ago and feel that it's changed my entire worldview.  I've tried to learn as much as I could on my own by reading books, online tutorials and free courses, and scouring this forum for valuable info but feel like I'm ready to take my learning to the next level.

I'm thinking about either enrolling in a PDC or searching for an internship, and I was hoping to get some recommendations from those who've had experience with either.  There seem to be so many to choose from and it's difficult to determine which ones would be worth the time and monetary investment.  I'm currently living in New York but would be willing to travel for a worthwhile program, so any suggestions will be appreciated.  Does anyone have any experiences with specific programs that they'd like to share or recommend that may be able to make my search easier?

It's too late to attend it, but for a lesser charge you can see some live now, and stream the parts you missed. With the digital program you won't get a pdc certificate, but you will learn all the same stuff.

Thank you Joylynn, this looks like a great program.  I'll keep it on my radar for 2018 and maybe check out some of the streams.  Were you able to attend or are you doing the live streaming?

No, I didn't get to do it this year. I did support the kickstarter at a low level for Paul's awesome goodies. And I guess they may have wrapped up the live stuff now.

Hi Joe

I have to say i think the next level of permaculture education is by far geoff lawton's online course.. its the most in depth interactive high quality permaculture course in existance.
I took his first online course and i thought it was great but the 2017 new online course blows everything out of the water, its got animated versions of the diagrams form the designers manual 350+ if im not mistaken and video Q&A Feedback from Geoff.
The next one will be starting soon i would imagine as the last one has just finished... but you can allready access his free online material the permaculture circle on:

doing a face to face pdc, internship or workshops is great too you make heaps of contacts and instant friends...   i just thought the online course is un comparable in terms of actual learning as you can watch it over and over until it all sinks in
