I will attempt to start with a question.
What would your Ultimate Rainbow Seed Ball contain?(I'm calling them this because of the diverse recipes)
What would be the purpose of each ingredient other than diversity? I need simplicity, I need sustainability, and I need to give more than I take otherwise what am I in the end. I am sure we all feel this way, and that is one reason why mankind is so great. I hope this thread will become a useful source, for creating a higher quality of life for all.

Currently my only experience with seed balls or clay pellets is what I have read or watched. In the appendix of Sowing Seeds In The Desert, there's a clay pellets recipe. These ingredients seem like they'd be pretty hard to obtain even for an experienced professional in this day and age.
I've heard and would like to share some pest deterrents(no proof to back up these claims)...
Chili powder- mammals, ants.
Grape Kool-Aid- birds.
Adding oil??? This would be my main curiosity, because a lot of oils are anti-bacterial/fungal(undesirable), but easily obtained, like neem oil or peppermint oil.

Also, can mortar clay or fire clay be used in making seed balls?

Please share.

It's my moral duty to farm!

I will try to answer your question.

You have seed 1 and seed 2.  Seed 1 is now a mature plant ready to drop seeds in about a month, you sow seed 2 it starts to grow, you cut down seed 1 depending on what you're doing. Some seeds fall from seed 1, but seed 2 is ahead of seed 1. Seed 2 has a vigorous advantage and will choke out most of seed 1.

Off topic do you have any Happy Hill rice seed available for USA?
