Hi! I’m Amy. A quirky, counter culture, liberal/progressive, non-religious, “hippie that hunts,” 43 yo single mom (kids are 11 and 16), performing urban homesteading in the KC area. Phew!
I started apprenticing on organic, biodynamic, permaculture and regenerative farms 20 years ago. I have spent the last 20 years in the professional fields of organic farming, off grid homesteading, community herbalism, Functional Nutritional Therapy and field to fork education.
I am currently an Education Specialist for Wildlife & Parks, creating custom programs for marginalized, underserved and non traditional communities. I teach people how to ethically, safely and responsibly forage, fish, hunt and trap for sustainability purposes.
I aspire to get back to a rural, off grid, self sufficient homesteading lifestyle once my youngest graduates high school. In the interim, I am hoping to find my person to start working an urban homestead together while building relationship and homesteading skills.
I do not want to have any more children of my own and am looking for a man that has a vasectomy or is otherwise sterile. This is a deal breaker for me, as is a need to align on religion (or lack thereof), politics and being a general good human that supports equal rights for ALL.
I deeply value nonviolent communication, self-care and a commitment to health and growth. I am a huge music lover, especially bluegrassy and jammy stuff. I play the mandolin and I ❤️ Jerry
I only drink socially and am not 420-friendly (unless it’s a rare occasion).
