Hi Patrick, welcome back to Permies!  Thanks for the giveaway.  I am new to use of Hori Hori knives but it looks like a quality tool.

Hello Kate,

Thanks for the ebook, I found it very concise with just enough information and am sure it will come in handy when we start homesteading seriously next year.

Hi Paul,

Just watched the video after performing the purchase test.  Both things work great!  Really enjoyed the video and the playback was smooth and uninterrupted.

Bye for now.

Hi there Permies!

I managed to buy this content from Turkey with my U.K. Paypal account.  The process went very smoothly and I was charged 1USD as promised.  On to bigger and better stuff!

Cheers,

David
Welcome Owen.  I gave up the billiard table lawn years ago but meet resistance from neighbours over fears that my ā€œweedsā€ will somehow pollute their perfect lawns.  Look forward to following this topic, hopefully it will provide me with some answers.

Welcome to the forums Anne, good luck with your book.  I am about to move onto 5 acres of land in the MatarraƱa region of Spain, the majority of which consists of neglected pine forest.  I am interested to find out what can be done in terms of food/medicinal plant cultivation once I have cleared the forest floor a little.

Hi Leo and welcome.

I will be embarking on my first foray into beekeeping next year on my land in MatarraƱa, Spain.  My aim is to attract the bees as pollinators for my almond trees and of course provide a safe haven for these wonderful creatures.  I look forward to reading your book.

S Smithsson wrote:ugh oh.. I just got a load of pine, that a neighbor cut down, to start our first hugelculture bed.  I read in this book not to use pines...  we have alkaline soil so I thought this would be perfect to bring the PH closer to neutral over time.

What is the reason not to use pine?

Me too!  My place is right in the middle of two pine forests!!  Is there no hugel hope for me?

Hi Kate,
I know nothing about keeping goats but have just bought some land in Spain and am thinking about the possibility as part of our sustainable farm.  Looking forward to the discussions here over the next weeks.
