Update!

We have more than enough thumbs up, so we are doing this!   The editing has begun and you can find the pre-order page

        HERE!

It would take a lot of editing.

Josiah videoed me giving the full, all day tour in june.  And it looks nice!  The bernal brothers have a copy and they are going to do some other projects.  But they suggested making a full two hour, well edited movie.

hmmm ....   mmmmmaybe .....

Of course, they charge for their services and it would take some doing.

They sent the following list of stuff that would be in a full length movie:

- Introduction
- Roundwood timber framing a Couch Balcony
- Rolly Shelves
- Peter Vanderberg’s batch box rocket mass heater
- What is a stratification chamber?
- The easy bake coffin
- Rocket Oven
- Bermshed
- How we get our posts to last Bermshed continuation
- Rocket water heater
- Shower Shack
- Willow feeder
- Solar food dehydrator
- Unpressurized rocket water heater
- Willowonka
- Berm
- Drystack
- Apricot alley
- Fire wood rack
- Hugelkultur
- Rocketiest rocket mass heater
- Rocket mass heater for cooling in the summer
- 3 possible ways to improve the rocket mass heater system
- Garden patches
- Dry stack retention wall 2
- The Gulag and Sepp Holzer grain
- Tangle foot fence
- Junk-pole fence
- Rockjacks
- Haybox cooker
- No more external air intake for rmh
- Incandescent and led lighting at the Labs
- Workstation dock
- Cooper cabin Wofati building
- Cooper cabin gapper program (pre bootcamp)
- Cooper cabin umbrella
- Cooper cabin rocket cooktop
- Indoor willow feeder
- Allerton Abbey
- Natural floors
- Rocket cooktop 2.0
- Truly passive greenhouse
- Teepee Park
- Rocket mass heater teepee
- Skidable woodshed
- Outro

Ten bucks for a full two hour movie?

Click on the thumbs up for this post if you would part with ten bucks for a full two hour movie.

I think that if we get a hundred people doing the thumbs up, then we would have a thousand bucks.  That should cover the editing.  Can we get a hundred thumbs up?

I like this idea. I watched the five hour long tour of Wheaton Labs about two years ago. I would love to see what has been going on at the lab. I would like to go to Wheaton Labs one day.

I'm in Canada, so downloading digital content may not be possible for me. Otherwise, I would pay the $ to get a good look at what is going on at Wheatonia. I have caught glimpses here and there of the goings-on there, but I rarely see the full scope of the landscape and the magnitude of what has been accomplished thus far. My mind fills in the big blanks and is eventually proven very wrong when I see some of the short videos from visitors.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately-- I really don't have a clear picture of your world, but I have wanted to be a part of it for years.

Since this video would be owned by Paul, we could get it set up at Gumroads like we did with a bunch of other of Paul's stuff, and that will allow people to buy it around the world. Gumroads handles the VAT stuff so we can sell digital stuff internationally.

Personally I think 2 hours is a bit long. Although to be fair I’m unlikely to buy it anyhow. I might be persuaded if it were in smaller chunks: like building, landscape design, food production, energy, and .....as separate chapters, maybe 20mins separately. Then I could take the chapter that most interested me, and you could do a bundle pack of all videos.
I much prefer the written word however, so if you do an illustrated book of Wheaton Labs let me know.

I'm just writing because I LOVE the Voltaire quote. I'll be using it ... daily. So, you've suddenly become a part of my life. The least I can do is write and tell you so.
THANKS!

I posted a Thumbs Up but it may be a year or so before I have any extra cash.  Still struggling to complete the house just to get through with final inspection and just got a $14k bill from the hospital for the appendectomy.

What if the movie had time stamps and a list of what's happening at each time? That way, you could zip ahead to the part you want to see, rather than having to watch everything in order. And, if you want to re-watch a certain part, it'd be really easy to find.

Michael, i'd be glad to donate/gift you this movie.

To everyone:
Maybe we can somehow set up a general fund or such, to cover movie costs for folks who have smaller budgets. I'll put in the first $60 to help spread the bliss of sharing this Wheatonia Wisdom.

👍🏻 I think it would be a great idea. I was there for the PTJ this past June/July but was so engrossed in certain projects, I didn’t even get the full scope of everything Wheatopia had to offer. So a full length movie with time stamps would be amazing.
