The pre-order thread isn't finished yet, but we'll make sure to post in this thread and send to the dailyish about the pre-order thread once it's made!

Thanks K Hanner,

I didn't notice that at the time. I was expecting some kind of sound and /or movement in the icon!

The wheels are now in motion.  Of course there are lots of schedules for lots of things.

I think that the pre-order page will probably go up later today.   The "turbo tour" (about nine minutes long) will go up in a few days.  As the editing for the full movie happens, we might be able to get some clips to put up on youtube.

Would love to see this documentary.  So much inspiring stuff going on there at Wheaton Labs.   Chapters would be excellent , and also available in Canada as someone else mentioned.

How to set up the Pay It Forward credits for gifting to other folks.

We use a gift code system.   So if you buy it for yourself, you will then see that you can buy a gift for somebody else.  Then you will get a gift code that looks kinda like this  https://permies.com/g/tytyt8ty8 - and you can send that link to somebody.

When setting all this up, should we set something up so a person can buy a dozen gift codes?

I am a hermit non-techy person, i would not personally know the folks who can use this, or how to send it to them.

Would a solution to that be to have a separate thread where folks can request the gift,  and those who wish to gift them can access their email through a Purple Moosage to their account or such? And i personally don't like giving out my email to others, so there would be folks who REALLY WANT to have this, yet do not want to give out their email to a person they do not know.

thanks to everyone who can help this gifting happen. Now and in the future present moment =)

The Pre-Order thread is now live!!!

Click HERE to go to the Pre-Order page!

Big thanks to Liv for making the thread!

The pre-order page also links to Gumroads, so if you're a non-USA permie, when you go to purchase through the pre-order page, it should direct you straight to the Gumroad's site. If this does not happen, please tell me! (it's been a while since I set up a page at gumroads, and some things have changed over there. Since I'm in the USA, I can't really test to make sure it's all working out. Thanks!)

I think this is a great idea! Please feel free to start the thread! Also, you don't need anyone's email address to give them a gift code. You can just PM them the gift code link, and they'll have it!

I'll send you a PM so you can see what I mean!

For those interested in buying giftcodes and aren't sure how, here's the thread on how to do so!

I hope that helps!

Edit: Nicole, I think your previous post on how to send a gift code may have answered my questions below. which i noticed after I'd already posted this in my excitement.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OH GOSH this is so exciting. Thank you, Nicole, for sharing the wisdom of how we can gift the movie to others.
SO, how would a person ready to gift to others pay on Gumroad? Would they pay for numerous quantities of the product, and Gumroad automatically send the gift codes to share? I will post all the instructions in the New Thread that you can share with me.
And if you can send me any pertinent screen shots which would show those of us less tech inclined exactly how to do this.
I really appreciate your brainstorming and teaching what to do.
Hello Nicole,
I live in UK and so was taken to Gum road. I filled in all card details - they don't allow Paypal unfortunately- but then when clicked on the final pre-order, nothing happened.
It is also 2 dollars more cos I live in UK.  Apparently UK  taxes.  Aargh!
Is it possible that you now own it, but since it is a pre-order then nothing happens until the thing is there?
Maybe we should find a small video to put there that says "Hi, this is where the movie will be when there is a movie!" :)
Ha ! Rather like no explosions or singing  when I clicked on thumbs up icon!?
I suppose so.  But  unlike everything else  I clicked on, it didn't move.  Usually  when paying by card, there is some indication that details have been saved , order  taken etc.
However,  let's see others experiences....
Michael, i'd be glad to donate/gift you this movie.
To everyone:
Maybe we can somehow set up a general fund or such, to cover movie costs for folks who have smaller budgets. I'll put in the first $60 to help spread the bliss of sharing this Wheatonia Wisdom.
Alex, you are a great person.  This is not what I was looking for when I posted my reply.  Just trying to get through a bunch of hurdles in life financially, hopefully before the end of the year.  I am willing to purchase my own.  Maybe someone else might be more in need.
As someone who did a live, in-person tour of the facilities a few years ago, I would definitely love this. So much going on there that should be duplicated in the "real" world!  Include the Ant Village as well!
A 9 minute Turbo Tour - kinda like a movie trailer - is available now.  It gives you a glimpse into Paul's world at the Labs and what you'll see in the full length movie. To pre-order the full movie, go here.
