Biography
When I was 14 I became present to the atrocities of the second world war. Looking at the pictures of people in concentration camps and hearing the stories of whole families being wiped out, I could not grasp how one human being could do that to another human being. As a result, I never understood racial hatred - German to Jew, black to white, English to French, wife to husband, gangs etc. and as an adult, I still don't get it. In that moment, when I was 14, I created for myself that who I am for the world is World Peace. I took on being a space for World peace show up. I hope, yearn and pull for it.

About 2010 I distinguished World Peace for myself. The most recent act of war that I could think about was 9/11.  What could possible drive a person to order another to pilot a plane into a building?  The answer:  The person giving the order did not feel that they were heard and gotten for something they wanted to communicate. Hence, World Peace is not all countries NOT warring. However, it is the presence of acceptance, workability and communication (listening and self-expression). Regardless of the nature of the relationship, being open to working things out and being in communication has peace be present in the world. This is what I call the being of World Peace.

It is my mission to create pockets of peace, like pearls that are  strung together. Eventually the string is so long that it causes the tipping point and the being of world peace is the norm globally.
This is why I help Entrepreneurs gain freedom from overwhelm – so they can experience peace and it ripples out to the people they touch. The more people I can lovingly contribute to, the more pearls of peace there are and the closer we get to having peace be palpably present on this planet.

At this moment I live in the city in an area that has neat manicured lawns. It drives my enighbours crazy that we put off mowing the grass for as long as possible ...and then do not rake up the cuttings.

You know you are a permie when you are planting so that there is food for the animals over the winter in Canada (especially in the city).

We grew cherry tomatoes and beans on a trellis this year.  It was amazing to watch them grow.
At least it died in nature and not in a pot of boiling water!

I love my She Wee. It not only comes in handy when I am out.  It also came in handy when I had surgery and bending/sitting was challenging.  The key, if you get one, is to practice using it indoors so that
you do not have any mishaps outdoors.

Mow our grass rarely and when we do we don't rake it up!

You know you are a permie when you wish your lawn was covered with plantain instead of grass.

I am planning to create a community for the 'elderly', called Centurion Village, in the next 5-6 years.
As I age, I knew that I wanted to surround myself with like minded people rather than be thrown
into a conventional retirement home to 'waste' away.  I plan to go out sliding into home base.
I don't consider myself old and I am in great shape and very youthful - at least 40 years away
from the age my Grandmother died.  Hence why I am planning now for then.  So I can live
life how I choose and give back to the planet at the same time.

Would love to hear other people's thoughts and ideas.

Thank you for sharing. I am  planning to create a permaculture community in the next 5 years or so and this certainly gave me what to think about....plan for.
