Hi James, your current social situation resonates very deeply—as I'm sure it does for many people in these interesting times.
Unlike you, however, I feel that my quality of life is deteriorating. I'm in urban Ohio, very much craving nature and a life with less impact. I understand the challenges and that the lifestyle certainly isn't for everyone, but it's something I've dabbled in on several occasions (WWOOFing, time in an intentional community, etc.) and am more than ready to dive into that way of connecting with this planet and myself.
Alan Watts is one of my favorites, so I appreciate that quote. I also appreciate your interest/awareness of astrology. I've also become more familiar with my natal chart recently—and am growing to understand how it impacts my life.
Anyway, I'm not sure what my intention with this message is, but I was feeling totally lost/disillusioned/isolated today (definitely why I ended up scrolling through the Permies Singles forum... haha) and your last couple of sentences really put a smile on my face.
