My daughter and I looked for 5 years for land that with our limited finances we could buy. We bought from Minnesota mineral and land program 11.5 acres 3 years ago. We have cut our logs from our land and are hand milling them now. We have cleared land for timber frame home, barn, paddock/pasture, garden, storage shed/garage.
Now handling the disposal of excess tree debris of 4 huge piles. Interesting.
This late spring through fall time period we will be preparing our timber frame joinery for our structure and raising of said structure.
We spent 3 years preparing draft to professional drawn timber frame plans with in depth book-like instructions.
So this late spring through fall the actual timber frame joinery cutting begins.
So....is it possible to gather a group of strangers/friends to minnesota for this process.
How does one go about gathering volunteers or $ low any pay to come here for one scheduled time frame to be determined by what works out.
We have taken on this future journey with monthly income resources. We are, basically, homeless. We are staying with my other daughter/son-in-law. They have been gracious, but, we do need to have own place soon.
This spring I am moving my 1971 international airstream out there to live in while building. Oh yes, we now have entrance driveway ! Exciting.
