I am located in central British Columbia, Canada. I have a quarter section of forest that I am slowly developing into a boreal permaculture paradise. Currently I am a single person working on this. In the future I will be hoping to find like minded people to join the cause here.

Hey Paul am I right thinking that to make your gardening gardeners or bootcamp plans work it starts with the Paul or an Otis being crazily generous?
It is a goal of mine to do something very similar to your "boot camp"
I feel that I need to provide food and accomodations before I can really invite Boots. I think you said most Otis' have a spare house on their property. I don't but I have aspirations of wofatis and cordwood cabins.
So would you say plentiful sunchokes, walking onions and clean water. Plus accomodations is the minimum requirements to invite Boots?
I for one am looking forward to the gardening gardeners book.
Nice to hear from you Rose. I need to update the cordwood pet house. It has had a roof on for two winters and no critters got frost bite.
I will pm you.

I just wanted to say thank you to Paul for the work you do. This podcast "gardening gardeners" and creating a framework to build communities like Wheaton labs.
A wise man said "all the world's problems can be solved in a garden" or something to similar effect 😉 and Paul is doing a lot to help in that direction. I am slowly working towards replicating "the labs" at my place. Which will be difficult because I am bigger, meaner and smellier than anyone for a half mile around.
I am searching for companionship and community ultimately, however I live pretty far out. So I am thinking I should modify my goals, learn to run before attempting a marathon.
Where I live I actually do not have cell service or internet. I work five days a week where I do have service and can communicate periodically.
I have 99 problems but surely I have three times that many blessings. I would like to tell you about my forest and gardens and animals, and goals. And I would like to hear all about your situation and goals as well.

Wishing you all calm and sunshine as needed, ciao.

I am out, by my own mistake my goats learned the zap of electric fence is no big deal. And soon my garden area was no more. This was a very costly lesson to me as I had saplings in the area also. I will rebuild bigger next year.
Ciao

Hello Andres and thank you for your work on this. I just submitted my first video but the link was called 2024 gamcod, is there a special link to 2025 or is it all the same?

I am looking forward to doing this!
I am in. Recording it will not be easy for me - broken phone and all but I have a trail cam I think I can make a time lapse of the hugel. Good luck everyone.
Oh and my area recorded -50c in the last ten years. I heard -48c one night last year.
