Compassion, empathy, and curiosity about the world are some of my favorite qualities in a person. While I'm very introverted and value my alone time, I also value community and I don't want to move to the middle of nowhere. I like people (in moderation) and I like people who are different from me. That being said, I am looking for someone with compatible values, so let me include a few key words about myself:

Childfree.

Atheist / Earth worshipping heathen.

Interested in dating men between 26 and 40,

and being friends with anyone.

Have been working in organic farming for 8 years. Don't have my own farm yet, but want to. My hobbies include hiking, foraging, gardening, botany, plants, more plants, a little bit of animals on the side, going to the beach (and foraging while I'm there), learning to rollerskate, making art, and appreciating music, movies, video games and anime.

I'm probably not interested in moving away from the Northeast US.

In any event, reach out if this sounds like your kind of person.

I am vaccinated, and I don't care about other people's vaccination status.

I also want to emphasize that community and friendship are very important to me.

They will be happier in the ground. If you plant them in their intended spots now, their roots can start growing asap.

If you want to store them, digging the pots into the ground is one good way-- the ground will temperature-buffer the roots and help regulate moisture in a more natural way.
I have also kept potted saplings in the garage over winter and that worked fine.

Don't let them sit in water for more than a day at a time during winter, as it can cause rot and can be damaging if it freezes.

Some words to describe me:
Leftist, logical, magical, compassionate, accepting, sensitive, hard-working but not a workaholic, introverted, affectionate, curious, weird, lover of art and science.

I currently reside in New Jersey. This us my 6th season working on farms, and my 7th year of studying permaculture / agroecology.

Pics available via direct message.

Sooner or later I hope to find a patient, committed partner to grow with. Someone who highly values community, teamwork and compassion. Maybe more extraverted than me. Maybe between the ages of 26-40.

Always happy to make friends, too!

Hello,

I am looking for all opportunities to grow and cooperate with others who have similarly aligned goals. I have been searching for jobs at biodynamic farms and non-profits, but local offerings are limited.

I have 3 years of experience working on production farms, one of those years as a manager. I have also done 10 months of volunteer work in earthen building and other permie skills.

Currently living in New Jersey, I am growing vegetables, trees, and seeds on a friend's property. Unfortunatly my land access here is tenuous. They might sell the property. The next owner might mow down my saplings, for all I know. Meanwhile my current day job leaves too little time for farming.

Saving seeds, crop breeding, trees/other perennials, and supporting ecology are my primary interests, and I would like to teach others about these practices while I continue to learn. As a farmer, engaging with the ecology and the community are mandatory to me.

I would be happy to join an already-existing effort, either new or established, and I am ready to relocate for a real suitable long-term prospect.

Please reach out!
Thanks for reading.

Hello,

I am looking for all opportunities to live, grow plants, and cooperate with like-minded people in the next phase of my life. Maybe this could take the form of joining an intentional community.

I have 4 years of experience working on farms. I have also done volunteer work in earthen building and other permie stuff. I am 26 years old, politically leftist, and my other interests include art.

Growing seeds, breeding crops, and planting trees are my primary interests, and I would like to start teaching others about these practices while I continue to learn. All of these goals would be made easier by having secure land access over a long period of time, and I would be happy to join an already-existing effort.

Currently living in New Jersey, I am growing vegetables, trees, and seeds on a friend's property, but my land access here is tenuous. They might sell the property. The next owner might mow down my saplings, for all I know.

Nothing is really tying me to this area-- On one hand I would prefer to be in the mid-atlantic area because it's where I'm from, and I have the most knowledge of this ecology-- but I am ready to relocate anywhere if I can find a real suitable long-term prospect.

Please reach out!
Thanks for reading.
