My wife and I just moved up to the Willamette Valley after homesteading the last few years on 5 acres in the mountains east of San Diego. Water availability and fires got to be a little too tough to handle down there, which was our motivation for moving. We're renting in Philomath right now and searching for property -- the eventual goal is a Mark Shepard style food forest focusing on chestnuts, hazelnuts, and wine grapes. We're trying to connect to like minded people in the area since we don't know anyone at the moment! Would love to hear more about your operation.
