Hello!
Our family "farm" is up the McKenzie River in the Southern Willamette Valley. Grown there my lifelong.
There are many folks here of four generations, and I am the guy mainly interested in agriculture projects.
Trying out lots of different species of food and
medicinal trees in food-foresty type situations.
My first round of edible chestnuts are about 8 years old, and they grow very well (with almost no irrigation and heavy horse-browsing), though only a few have born nuts so far.
Quinciquently, we put in another block of 25 Chestnuts 3 years ago to hopefully do something larger-scale in the next decades.
I am very interested in Natives and their ethnobotanical uses, as well as healing herbs, and coppice/pollard methods.
I don't go visit people, or have people over, or stuff like that, but I'm glad there's other peoples out there doing awesome stuff so close to me.
Anyway Hi- bye- I do like this place
alot.
