Yes, and thank you for asking. The rhizomes are ready to be planted as soon as possible once they arrive.
In my own experience I have kept rhizomes alive for a couple of weeks by treating them like bare root trees -- shallowly burying or "heeling in" the roots, and making sure they don't completely dry out.
Thank youuuuu. That is so helpful. I ordered a few rhizomes off eBay a month or so ago but was terrified of killing them by planting them outside just as freezing temps roll in. Of course now I'm afraid I killed them indoors anyhow. Might order from you and give it another go. I just had a really hard time finding information about how to grow them from rhizome outside academic papers from agricultural schools which are way higher tech than me.
