I'm not sure if this opportunity is still available. My wife and I are professionals that work from home and after traveling the American continents for 7 years in a 4x4 van we are wanting to settle down in the Appalachians. We are low impact people and want to develop a piece of land into a food forest, focusing more on native species. We also want to raise livestock in a limited or no input manner. Our idea is to start with chickens and work from there, building a self-sustaining heritage flock will probably take several years.
