That sounds like an amazing project! I’ve been growing Araucaria trees here in Louisiana for the past 15 years, using stock originally from southern Brazil. Today, I’ve got around 100 trees on my farm and scattered across Louisiana, and they’re doing really well. Your plan to breed resilient Angustifolia × Bidwillii hybrids for food production and climate improvement really resonates with me. The fog harvesting and swale system idea sounds brilliant — it’s great to see someone so young and passionate about permaculture. I’d love to exchange notes on Araucaria growth and adaptation in different climates!
