Would like to try a few letters with you , hoping your time with you father is not too complicated, I'm in the same boat with both my parents..... some how they are doing well at the moment, ....I'm hoping you are as fortunate.

I have lived as you described, most of my life, but I'm in Tierra del fuego at the moment, returning to the north, more and more....of grid solo is not the way it should be.ive spent most my off grid living in bc , Yukon and Alaska.

There is a very long standing christian off grid community in Haines Alaska...started about 40 years ago.
Been there a few times ...quite something
They have had children born raised and certified in Thier own university or collage as I remember.
Must be something on line about them carpenters fisherman loggers, and all the specialties from the women's sides all working together....I'm more of a loner type but Wonderful for others.

I have raised my daughter here for 9 years since she was 9 ...she speaks Spanish well ....me ? Not so well , as I work with vaqueros y ovajeros most of the day.
So I'm up to my neck also in my challenges here in Chile , every kind of challenge, especially the beurocratic type...
If I have any dead time or open time I will try and come , if even only for a short time, ive lived off grid most my life , so know most of  the basic things.
Well my hats off to you girl .... because I know what it's like, but from only one child and a man's perspective
