Hi , Daniel here
first time making a reply, you caught my interest at smoked meat....and I understand how almost impossible it is to make connections.
So one needs
alot more than smoking meats...but it certainly is a filter in many ways.Or at least a starter point.
So , I'll just put a couple things out there, and if it feels ok you can respond. I'll do my best to make it a couple of things.
I'm currently living on the island of Tierra del fuego, am looking to return to Canada more each year as I extract myself from here.starting with 3 to 5 months in Canada.
Here's where it gets a bit complicated hahaha
I have lived off grid alot, so use your imagination here very freely...mostly on the border of Yukon bc and Alaska , but other places south of 60 , in wall tents, cabins, tipi and yurt....like i said , go where ever your mind can take you on that front....yes go as extreme as you can and then add a bit more.
Preserving ....so much to know on that ....i only know what I've experienced and been taught, it's one of my favorite things ...to be able to go out and experience the natural in all it's glory....and then be able to take back some of it, and eat or prepare it for a later time... possibly in the deep of winter.
Here's a recipe that i just sort of fell into one fall, and cannot not repeat each fall season.
Shaggy mane soup , made with cream cheese, cream , ground pepper and salt...a grouse preferably smoked a half day and fried up added to the
mushrooms and sauce.....with a sprinkling of wild cranberries.....whoa!
So not wanting to over do it ....and hoping you imagination has been able to fill in the blanks.haha
I'm older than you , fit , no health issues, active ,still daring, got most of my bones in place.
Humourous., Fair to a fault, tough to a fault , rugged to a fault, and trying hard not to be sensitive to a fault.
Well let's start with that.
If it's only in correspondence we meet , that's still something.
I'll try and add a photo or two....might come later today, as I'm not great at new computer things.
Warm regards
