Here's a list of approved PV system installers, they may offer advice about using passive systems for your application. https://www.bls.gov/ooh/construction-and-extraction/solar-photovoltaic-installers.htm

However, if you choose a non-approved contractor, you may want to do a free background check on their company. I found this that shows you how to do it in Florida: https://backgroundcheckrepair.org/background-check-florida/

Adding fertilizer isn't totally necessary, but it can be helpful if you're finding that your plants aren't thriving. It's worth a try!
Sometimes it's just better to go with the quickest and easiest route to get what you need.  But, I have seen some really cool ideas online too that get people's creative juices flowing, so maybe to get your passion fruit plants looking extra sweet you should keep hunting around and get inspired.

Well, the pros are that you get a larger harvest from a smaller space, and the fact that these rootstocks are compatible means you don’t have to worry about conflicts between the different species of tree. The cons would be that if one tree gets sick, the others may catch it too. Also, pruning and training the trees can take a bit more effort if they’re all growing together. Bottom line - it’s a great solution if you’re short on space, but remember to keep an eye on those trees!

It's definitely possible to grow climbing beans up the short corn stalks. Though you may need to provide some additional support (perhaps with stakes or a trellis) to make sure it doesn't become too unwieldy. It could end up looking really cool!

Have you tried removing the soil and repotting the trees in something bigger? That might help with rootbounding. Also, if there is any fungus or pests, try to make sure you get rid of it as soon as possible, those little critters can spread! Hope you and your daughter are enjoying taking care of these trees and hopefully it all pays off

I don't have a definitive answer for you but I can tell you that some people have had success with planting crepe myrtles close to a black walnut. From what I know, crepe myrtle tends to be juglone tolerant, but it's always best to be safe than sorry and give them plenty of breathing room!

Have you considered something like using a brush or vinegar style herbicide? A few of my buddies have used it in the past with good results, though you need to be careful with application to make sure it's not too harsh or too concentrated. Or, if you've got the time and energy, smothering the stumps with a thick layer of cardboard and mulch can do the trick. Hope one of these helps! Good luck!

As long as Johnny Red and Hickory King aren't too close in proximity, it shouldn't be a problem. Cross pollination can get a bit tricky, but with your five acre buffer, it looks like you're doing all the right things!
