Hi Dominique,

Welcome to Permies.

How about wool?

Hey Matt,

I have seen the film.  It is my understanding they will arrange a viewing for interested groups ( see, https://www.rootssodeep.org/info/arrange-screening, for details ).   A lot of the utube shorts are attendees of these events,  Check out their utube channel, lots of good info to help you make up your mind.

I think any one on the fence about managing a grazing operation this way will find it worth their while to see this.  It is moving and powerfully persuasive.
If you do see this, please let us know what you think.

I came upon "Roots So Deep" on Greg Judy's utube channel.  He and Jan promoted a viewing a few months  ago at Columbia, Missouri.  I know I can't be the
only one here who's seen it.  If you have, please share a quick review.  I would love to hear more opinions.

Congratulations Joseph,

It is exciting to see your work recognized for the value it brings to our food ecosystem.   Love the work you are doing.  Have you heard of One Small Town  ( www.onesmalltown.org )? Their goal is establishing local, regional, and global networks for local and regional food security, sustainability and resilience.

It costs nothing to join.  After joining you may submit a business plan (funding is available) and if approved it may be organized as a not-for-profit, a co-op, or conventional business.  Whatever best suits the situation.

OST has invented ways to actively engage the local communities and provide them with payment for that.  I hope you can find a few minutes to check out the link.  I am sending OST a link to your announcement.  I will strongly urge them to have some representation there.  It seems to be a perfect place to start.

Respectfully,

Mike

Hi Wendy,

Seems like an amazing opportunity.  Wish I could apply (50 yrs. too old, no Spanish).

Are you familiar with this organization ( https://contourlines.org/ )?  They appear to be all over Guatemala.

Best wishes going forward.

Hey Dalton,

I see you have been fleshing out your Plan,  Well done,

Have you joined One Small Town yet?  Submitted a business plan?  They claim to have funding available to invest to launch projects such as this.

It would seem your highly integrated, comprehensive plan could easily fit into the OST constellation.  In any event, best of luck and keep us posted.

You are not alone Dalton.  I recently joined OST and waiting to see where I can fit in.

I'm 75 and it is the only thing I see coming that has the potential to make the biggest impact in the least time.

I have seen countless utopian schemes come and go in my brief time here.  I am anxious to see where this goes.

If you have not seen this, it may be worth a look.  Also, a candidate for cross posting to the Intentional Community forum.

Hi Sandeep,

Have you seen these video?

They are about some projects in India that address similar, if not identical challenges  to yours.

I hope the links work for you.

I am not familiar with embedding youtube videos in a message.  Can some one point me to a tutorial?

Any way, best of luck with your project.
