To me, happiness is gratitude for what I have, and marveling at how much i have to be happy about. It’s a spiral cycle of happiness!

These are great ideas I thought I would never need. Sold a house in Arkansas this summer that was built in 1988. Bought one in SE Iowa that was built in 1900 or earlier, which I told myself I'd never do again. Lots of updating going on here. Some windows have been replaced, but for the others, these tips will come in handy  because mine are all tall windows, too. Thanks for posting!

Hi Paul. You are one brave guy. And you well know you’ll get loads of suggestions that take up precious energy to manage. What I have to offer is prayer. It’s invisible like chemo and radiation, the two most common treatments. And it’s powerful. Thank you SO much for sharing to your wider group of followers so we can employ our love and energy and prayer on your behalf.
Reply to Anita and Amy - My dad is 100 years old. His mom came to the US with her family in the early 1900s. He has told me about a giant dumpling his mom used to make, and when he says the name it sounds like Moot Boodle. So gratifying to see this discussion and learn more about it. He doesn’t have any idea how she made it.

So happy to see this art thread! Got sidetracked by a car accident in early Dec, and started coming back to my art life on New Year’s Day 2024. Here are my 12” high collage numerals to celebrate life this year, restarting my near-daily art journaling practice built over the last 5 years

My best hummingbird plant is a perennial flowering vine called Coral Honeysuckle. Found one in the woods and propagated from it. Vines bloom on old wood and last and last. Here in Zone 7b they start blooming in March and I saw a couple blossoms today, in mid November. My vines are right outside my kitchen window so I get to see the hummers feeding up close and personal.

Just found Coral Honeysuckle for sale at https://www.rareroots.com with Latin name - Lonicera sempervirens

Thanks, Beau. That was a quick, good reply. In your original post you said, "We're looking for a handful of folks..." Now we know you have one person starting today. Will there also be more hires soon?  I realize it may be too time-consuming for you or other people, but contacting people who filled out your Google form, to let us know if we are crossed-off the list for now (or forever) would be a good thing to do. Many employers collecting job applications do not reply, it's true. Maybe Permies.com is different. Just a thought. Thanks again!
