Does anyone have experience with the watson wick septic system in humid areas? Can it be done / how did you make it work?

Does anyone have any tips / advice for what to do with trash in areas that don't have a city trash service? On our property now, the locals are used to burying or burning the trash and obviously this isn't an option. Driving to a city dump is in theory doable, but not practical. Anyone have experience / ideas?

my partners family has purchased about 10 acres in tanzania to set up a permaculture property / food forest. animals will be onsite as well, so we are looking for any info we can get on native plants that would be good for pasture raising and feeding goats, cattle, and chickens. any advice or information specific to the region at all would be greatly appreciated! we need all the knowledge we can get!
