yes you can plant them, they definetly CAN grow, Chances of them growing... Not exactly impossible, but not an everyday task type of thing, i remember being younger and planting a sunflower seed or two from the birdseed bag and it grew to a big sunflower and even produced more seeds out of the flower, it was amazing.
