So, we are a secular family of four. Three adults and one teen in northeast Texas. We want to live self sufficiently and give back to the community through food sharing, community gardening, and any other ways we can think of. We have a small amount of money saved and are in the process of saving more. I'm curious if anyone would like to share ideas, advice, opportunities with us.
We are not against joining an intentional community but prefer a buy in scenario over renting.
I have experience as a Minnesota licensed CNA and specialized in memory care. We believe in multi generational households and I believe I could be an asset to communities with aging members. I have 20 years of child raising experience, and have had a large hand in running a 12 bedroom lodge.
My husband is a great builder, in my humble opinion. He has experience in plumbing, carpentry, building various structures...jack of all trades type. We both have experience with landscaping, fence clearing, and property caretaking. We also spent two years as camp hosts at Caddo Lake State Park.
