So sorry! I attached the picture of the food going into our compost bin, which gets fed to chickens. I took this picture but I forgot to include it in the original post.

I cut down a large area covered entirely in a blanket of small jewelweed plants, which are lovely to have around but certainly tends to be rather agressive.

Seed balls created! I made two batches, because I ran out of seeds before I got to four pounds on the first batch.
Batch # 1: 3 lbs 3 oz. Seeds: Chinese Chives(perennial), Winter Rye(annual), Ramps(p), Rose of Sharon(p), Yarrow(p), False Indigo(p), Alfalfa(p), and dandelion(p)
Batch # 2: 1 lbs 10 oz. Seeds: Winter Rye(a), Quince(p), Alfalfa(p), Apple(p), Dandelion(p), and Broomcorn(a).
The combined weight of both batches was about 4 lbs 10 oz according to my scale. That measurement sounds funny to me considering the above weights but mud is shifty like that I suppose.

Cleaned a very greasy dish which was covered in butter without soap. I'd never done this before and I was quite surprised at how clean the dish came out even without soap.

Is there any alternative structure or activity for those of us who don't have access to a wofati? If it absolutely has to be a wofati, and you don't know someone who already has built one, then doesn't that mean that in order to get the straw badge in natural building one first has to complete the iron badge(building a wofati)?
Or are wofatis more widespread than I think they are, and if so how can I find someone who has one?
A little chickweed salad! I harvested from giant chickweed plants growing as a volunteer on our compost pile.
The finished salad is topped with ground ivy, chives, olive oil, garlic, and pepper. Everything is foraged except for the olive oil, garlic, and pepper.

Does anyone have any idea how long this would take? also could you do it with just yourself and a shovel, or would you need heavy machinery/a community work day?

I have made a cup of fresh raspberry leaf tea! Hooray.
We do cultivate two rows of black raspberries, but I harvested from the wild red raspberries which pop up everywhere and almost never produce fruit at all. To the best of my knowledge they are either completely wild or else are volunteer enough to be considered non-cultivated.

Six kitchen implements of destruction have been thoroughly greased!
I used coconut oil as I sadly do not have access to walnut oil for the time being.
I had to swap out a spoon for the two-pronged fork while I was oiling, as the fork was too dirty to be oiled.
Is there a good thread somewhere about the walnut oil extraction process?
