Hi all,
I currently live in eastern central PA. I’m renting now, but within a year, I’d prefer to be living off-grid on a property somewhere. I hear mixed messages about off grid living in PA. Ideally, I’d like to purchase a small plot of rural land and do some clearing. Maybe pour a slab and set up a sturdy carport. Set up an outhouse. Live and work their part time from a mini-van with the goal being to build a small solar cabin and then start living there permanently.
As far as establishing a residence, taxes, and laws, where should I start? Any advice is appreciated.
