I absolutely agreed with Carla, your wife has a giant heart. Arthritis is a terrible thing but overworking herself for a passion is heartbreaking. I hope she can find a middle ground. Thank you for sharing about your lovely wife.

Thanks to everyone who's joined in on my post and created lovely conversation. You all seem very lovely.

Hi Amy, if you follow a tutorial that clearly explains the process you should be fine.

Tips: It’s okay to start over with something over and over before you get it right. If you’re not understanding instructions look for a simplified explanation or come back to it after 1 full day. Just be patient with yourself. Sometimes us beginners get so upset if it’s not a mirror of the tutorial or that it took us too long. Biggest goal don’t give up and even if it takes a week or months it'll still be worth it.

I hope that helps.

Hi there, would you like to chat and see where things lead. I read what you wrote, it’s raw and honest which is refreshing. If not thats okay too 🙂

Nancy those look amazing. Great job on the lace snow flakes, I would personally hang those around my window to simulate snow since we dont get much so south in NY.

Jay those are amazing. Your wife is a true master for sure. Tell her I said she has a with crochet and colors like no other. Thank you for sharing those amazing projects with us 🤗

It’s pronounced like the letter Q.

Thank you for the Support. I’ll post the full shawl when I’m done. Also I am a chameleon of sorts, I adapt pretty well to things that involve repetition and patterns. I look forward to seeing any of your projects.

I have so much free time that I have decided this year was the year for crocheting. Winter being the perfect time to stare at a pattern and replicate it. I am so grateful to YouTube creators like ExpresionFiberArts for the sweet pea shawl that I'm still working on in wool. Also Crochet swan for peaking my interest in Lace pattern using cotton yarn.

I hope that I can complete a full lace shawl in the end. Also finish my hand dyed brown wool sweet peas shawl. Just thought I would share since I still new to everything. Am I the only beginner who counts the chains out loud?

Hi, I go by Qu and I'm 31. I'm new to all this. I love the idea of a self-sustaining life.
Things I've learned: How to make my own butter, section a chicken, I'm okay a biscuit making, making cookies from scratch and cooking.

What I'd love to learn in the future: skinning and section other meat/animals, getting good at bread making, get better at crocheting and or knitting. Although I'm a city woman, I do love the peace of the suburbs/country side. I hope my goals don't seem to far fetched. I love talking to and meeting new people. I look forward to making new friends here.
