Hey all. I know that this is an old thread but thought that I would add my experience in case other gardeners are still looking into electroculture. My results in a nutshell:
LAST SEASON:
The raised garden bed with the antennae produced UNBELIEVABLE success in the pepper varieties. I mean these plants literally turned into trees! In particular, my Tobasco plant grew to about 6' tall, with a the branches extending out to the entire WIDTH of the garden box and its sun shade. We are talking about 8' in width here! I really did not believe that a pepper plant could grow that big. My 4 yo now uses the trunk of that tree as a walking stick because it is a beautiful hardened wood now. Oh, and guess where that fantastic Tobasco plant was located in the raised bed relative to the others? That's right. Right NEXT TO THE ANTENNAE! I am convinced this electroculture stuff does work.
THIS SEASON:
Same results so far as last. All plants in that same box with the antennae are doing extremely well and outperforming the other two boxes. One of the other two has an antenna in it as well, and while they are doing well, they are not as good as the other. I have not figured out an explanation yet though there are admittedly many confounding variables including: box designs are different, cardinal directions are different, amount of sunlight, etc...
I don't understand why some folks are so quick to chalk this up as "quackery" when the cost of experimenting is so little. And honestly, it has made my gardening experience so FUN!
Regards,
Chris
