Invasive buckthorn. We battle with it significantly here in Minnesota, so very familiar with it at all sizes and stages. Originally brought from Europe as a nice hedge plant, now a very destructive and prolific plant that turns understory of woods into black forest monoculture. Extremely difficult to kill and readily spreads with those dried berries, which birds like but gives them digestive upset so seeds pass through. Seeds can survive dormant for decade.
